Storyboard Using a Dramatic Scene

I had to create a storyboard using a dramatic scene. For this assignment I had to pick a two minute clip and draw as many boards I thought I needed to tell the story. My instructor told the class to primarily focus on emotional changes and camera angles. The clip I used was a scene from Dennis the Menace, a film made in 1993 starring Walter Matthau and Mason Gamble.

I'll first show you the scene:

Storyboards Using Cats Don't Dance

I know it has been a while since I posted a while. Life has been crazy at the moment, but I thought I would post a recent project. This semester, I'm in the process of adding a storytelling/storyboarding class. Our first assignment was to watch an animated film, then summarizing the film in 2-3 sentences, and lastly conveying the story with a maximum of 10 frames. I did the film Cats Don't Dance, an under-rated film that was released by Warner Bros. in 1997.

Dice

I made some dice in my modeling class. This project was designed for me to learn textures and UV Editor. To get the dice to work the way they do, I used a color map, a bump map, and a transparency map.

Lego Man

This is my first real project in Maya. I made a Lego Man. It was really hard to figure out the program, but I got it done. The geometry of his legs are still a little funky but its a job well done overall.

First Time in Maya

This semester I am taking a modeling class. It's my first time using Maya. I made this cylinder and rotated it 360 degrees. I know that it's not real exciting but I thought it was awesome that I had success on the first try. I'm really excited for this class!
